I stayed here for 2weeks and I truly felt at home. A very comfortable stay with great service and a very convenient location. The food served was good too. A special thanks to Anu , her hospitality truly made my stay warm and welcoming.

Value for money. Very nice place to stay in. Rooms design and furniture looks fresh. Balcony view is nice and rooms are provided with AC for heating makes it a great deal!! Staff are so humbled and attend switch lot of patience. Give valuable advice to get settle as per the atmosphere. Welcome gesture and welcome tea. Not only is , they were attending each visitors very well. Food for lunch and dinner options are less but taste is good. Morning breakfast options are less for veg and taste is average here. Approaching to hotel road is narrow and direct reaching with car is not possible. 50 mtr of walk is needed but the staff take care of all the belongings.

Loved the stay!
The staff and managers at El Castello are so kind, accessible and responsive all the time. They are one of the most humble and welcoming staff. Especially, our interactions with Anu was a cherry on top - she truly spends time to understand her guests, ensures they are comfortable, safe, healthy and able to enjoy their time in Ladakh, not just within the property. She provides ultra-customized recommendations based on the guests needs. My husband and I cannot wait to go back again.
oh! also, their Thukpa is one of the best!

This was an exceptional hotel! Staff were extremely welcoming and gave me saffron tea while I checked in. They had lots of local recs for food - all of which were fantastic. The hotel is a short walk from downtown and has some beautiful views of the mountains - especially from the roof deck. Rooms were clean and spacious! Breakfasts were delicious and I felt very welcomed my whole stay! They are happy to help set up treks or other activities if you want! This was one of my best hotel experiences ever!

Loved the stay!

How many rooms do you have?
We have 18 Premium - with Balcony & 12 Deluxe - without balcony rooms.
Can 4 to 5 of us stay in one room?
We are really sorry, we can accommodate max 3 adults in a room. We use 1 one extra single mattress on the floor.
Is breakfast complimentary with room prices?
Yes, all our packages include a complimentary buffet breakfast. You can also check for room packages with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.
What is your Check-In and Check-Out time?
Our check-in time is 11 AM to 10 PM, and our check-out time is 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM
Why do you have such an early Check-Out time?
This is connected with the Leh airport and operational hours. Leh airport operates as a civilian airport until 2:30 PM and the airport doesn’t have a hanger for planes. So 90% of flight arrivals are limited to 10 AM, and 80% of flights depart before 10:30 PM. The earliest arrival of the flight is 6:15 AM. We are situated 10-15 min away from the Airport.
What are the differences between premium and deluxe rooms?
There are no differences of amenities, room size and facilities in both categories of rooms. Only difference is the balcony, premium rooms offer a balcony with mountain city view and deluxe doesn’t.
Do you provide Airport pickup and Drop?
Yes, we do provide airport pick up and drop services. Please inform us at least a day before your arrival for a pick-up.
Do you provide travel services, like taxi or bike rental, or entire package tours?
Yes, we do have a travel desk inside the hotel, and you can avail all travel services as required. You can call us or drop us a note to help you plan an itinerary for your Ladakh trip. It's also not mandatory to obtain a package before you arrive. You can avail individual items on arrival as per the day requirement of your travel mood.
Do you help us with travel permits?
Yes, our travel desk and front desk can help you prepare Inner Line permits to travel for both domestic and international travellers. In case any international traveller is traveling with a non-tourist visa, we suggest you inform us early and plan accordingly, as you need assistance from the Delhi Embassy.
Can I do an early Check-In or a late Check-Out?
Late check out is not an option at all on a busy summer season, still you can send a request to our front desk to check the possibility. In case of early check-in, you can access our lounge, hotel front or 360-degree terrace view. You can also enjoy the breakfast buffet at our dine area.
